Brian Douglas Roland, of Buhl, Idaho was born July 8,1952 in Twin Falls, Idaho. He passed away at his home in Buhl, Saturday, November 19, 2016 from natural causes.
Brian was the youngest son of Carl and Joyce Roland, of Buhl Idaho. Brian graduated from Buhl High School. After graduation he moved to Fairbanks, Alaska for work where he met and married his first wife Debra Thibodeaux. Together they had a son David Roland. Brian’s life then took him back to Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming. After separating from his first wife Brian moved back home to Buhl where he met and married Mary Talbot and helped raise her children, Jenny (Ryan) Loos and Angie Kaster.
Being raised on a farm, Brian possessed many skills that carried him through his life. He worked in the Oil Field Industry in Alaska, and later in the Oil Field Sales in Utah and Wyoming. Once back in Idaho he had several jobs: Scott Jackson, Reis Plumbing, Phillips Electric, Magic Valley Refrigeration, Valley Co-op and finally owned his own business in the Dairy Industry.
Brian enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and shooting. Brian had a great gift of conversation and more than anything enjoyed making people laugh and smile.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Roland; his paternal grandparents, Glenn and Nancy Roland; and his maternal grandparents, George and Charlotte Herd of Wolverhampton, England. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Roland; his son, David (Janelle) Roland; and three grandchildren, Ethan, Eli, and Evy Roland; his sister, Cynthia (Bob) Kaes and nephew Justin (Amiee) Roland; his brother, Mike (Anna) Roland; and two other nephews, Shawn (Angie) Roland and Kelly Roland.
Brian’s Memorial Service will be held Monday November 28, 2016 and 2:00 pm at the Community of Christ, 20264 Hwy 30, Buhl, Idaho. Please come and help us celebrate Brian’s life.
