It is with deep sadness that we, the Buhler family, announce the death of the greatest man that we had the privilege to know, Brent Lee Buhler, who drifted peacefully into the next life on November 24, 2024, at 75 years young. He was born April 30, 1949.
He hated cold winter chores, but loved marching band and the movie “Music Man.” Chemo was tough, and radiation left his feet numb. He was everyone's friend, including strangers whom he had just met. His stories and jokes will live on in our hearts and all who knew him.
Brent was a yodeler with old western hymns. He lived with deep faith and walked hallowed ground passing hours in the temple with his wife by his side. He discovered the internet through Jumbo the elephant, and knew the farmers' touch with pigs, cows, and tomato plants. When he played the piano the whole world would light up.
From the hymns of his heart to the yodels of yore. He was an entertainer with the old and the young alike. A plumber by trade he would often reply, “It’s going down the tubes” and “half water pressure works just as well.” Playing video games like World of Goo, Mario Bros, and Wii Sports with his grandkids was a loved tradition.
If the cost of love is pain, then it was well worth the price to pay to have Brent as a son, brother, father, grandfather, husband, friend or stranger.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, with a viewing at 11:00 am, Monday, December 2, 2024, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 26 N Tiger Drive, Jerome. Burial will conclude at the Jerome Cemetery.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Brent's memorial webpage at www.farnsworthmortuary.com.
