Bonnie Jean Eyre of Buhl, previously of Jerome, Idaho, left us on January 3, 2025, after a sudden illness, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She now resides in Heaven with our Lord and Savior.

Bonnie was born to Chester and Doris Haynes July 26, 1939, in Caldwell Idaho, the oldest of 3 children, sister Donna Lopez and younger brother, Ricky Haynes. Growing up she was active in the community with Girls Scouts, her local church and Jobs Daughters. While in high school she met her future husband, Joe Eyre, and they were married November 18, 1957.

Bonnie and Joe moved to Laramie, Wyoming, while Joe attended the university. In the next few years, sons John and David were born. After graduation they moved to Spokane, WA, where Daniel and Julie joined the family.

In 1971, the love of Southern Idaho called them and they moved back to the Treasure/Magic Valleys. They moved to Boise then Caldwell and finally to Jerome, Idaho in 1976 where they made a home for 44 years. Bonnie was active in the Jerome community through her church, volunteer work with the Hospital Auxiliary, Girl Scouts and Boys Scouts, Jobs Daughters with her daughter, and as an election poll worker. She also ran the Jerome Bowl for a few years. Later in life Bonnie and Joe enjoyed camping with the local Good Sam’s Club. Also taking their grandchildren on many camping trips to the local mountains.
