Anne Eldora Walgamott

Anne Eldora Walgamott, 93, of Jerome died February 21, 2025 at The DeSano Place Care Facility in Jerome with her family by her side. She was born April 29, 1931 in Ogden, Utah, to Annie May (Pugh) Shipley and George Shipley. She was raised in Jerome, where she met her husband, Thomas E. Walgamott. They were married October 18, 1947 in Elko, Nevada. Tom and Anne farmed in Jerome until they retired.

Anne enjoyed preparing food for her family. The family’s favorites were her famous potato salad, homemade pies, and bread. After the children were grown, she worked at the Idaho Department Store and the Jerome School District as a teacher’s aide. She also enjoyed traveling to many cities and foreign countries where her children lived. She fulfilled a dream of getting her GED in 1987. Anne and her daughter, Kay, enjoyed collecting Madame Alexander dolls. She also enjoyed sewing, making quilts and soft sculptured dolls. Anne enjoyed her days at the Jerome Senior Center playing cards and bingo. She also served two terms on the Senior Center Board of Directors.

Anne is survived by her children, Carm (Linda) of Illinois; Cary (Linda) of Florida; Randy (Tonia) of Jerome; Toby (Janie) of Jerome; Kay (John) Gabica of Filer; Thomas, Jr. of Jerome; and Eric (Windy) of Jerome; brother, Bob (Ursula) Hart of Mtn. Home; sister-in-law, Charlette Hart of Lewiston; 17 grandchildren; and 35 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; husband, Tom; infant daughter, Kathy; daughter-in-law, Christine; granddaughter, Isabell Gabica; and grandson, Ethan Craner.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Jerome Cemetery, Jerome, Idaho.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Anne’s name to the Jerome Senior Center, 520 N Lincoln Ave, Jerome, Idaho.
