Altalee Davis

Altalee Davis, 95, of Jerome, Idaho passed away peacefully December 11, 2016. She was born November 2, 1921 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Walter L. and Cora A. Bowman.

Altalee grew up as a country girl, tom-boy, helping her father round up & feed cows, horses, pigs & chickens. She was the boy that her Daddy never had. She talked about scaling the Snake River Canyon walls & skinning her knees because all she owned was dresses.

After marrying the love of her life, Lynn Davis, she became a career cosmetologist. First starting at McCleary's Drug in Jerome then having her own salon in two different homes of her own.

After she retired she focused her attention on her kids and later her grandkids which all were the apples of her eye. She was also the twinkle in all their eyes.

She loved going on long rides, "especially in a clean, shiny car." Being so witty one never knew what would come out of that sweet mouth. For the last several years Mom's passion was embroidering all day, every day; all for her family.

She will be truly missed for her ever wanting to take care of or feed anyone that came into her home, whether she knew them or not.

She is survived by her kids: Bob; Rick and Kellie; and Kathy and Steve; her grandkids: Donavon and Aleisha; Brad and Delicia; Becky and Nate; Randi, Jesse, Wendy and Derek; Marty and Kristi; and Jesse and Koelle; and 16 great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lynn; daughter-in-law, Nikki; great grandson, Sam; and numerous other family members.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome, Idaho.
