Jerome - Alec Nicholas Humbach, 19, of Jerome, passed away on July 19, 2015, in Jerome, Idaho. He literally flew into the world on April 15, 1996. A gentle giant, Alec never had an unkind thought. He was always smiling, laughing, and joking. He was always willing to help anyone in need and never complained about doing it. He loved to rope, fish, and hunt. He loved working with his father on the farm. He never came across a piece of machinery he couldn't fix. He was a talented welder with the skill of an artist. He had a deep compassion for animals, especially his dog and his horses.
Alec is survived by his father, Michael Anthony Humbach, his mother, Beverly Carol Humbach, his older brother Justin Michael Humbach and younger brother Michael Anthony Humbach, his grandparents, Dale Boll, Mike and Nancy Buhler, great-grandmothers, Geraldine Boll and Helen Humbach, Uncles and Aunts, Martin and Dawn Soto, Nick and Shannon Crawford, and Cathy Miller; Cousins Tyler, Mireya, Noah, Whitney and Matthew; And his dogs Mattie and Bailey and his horse, Oscar.
Alec spent many hours riding and roping. Team roping was his passion and he loved to rope with his favorite partner, his brother Michael. Most recently the brothers had been invited to team rope in the Jerome County Rodeo. Alec graduated from Jerome High School in 2014. He worked for Vandenbosch Welding. He was planning on going into the family farming business in the Spring.
Alec was a beautiful bright shining star who's time came up way too soon, but we will always be grateful for the time we did have with him and we will always be better for having known and loved him.
